Stress... Effectively gone.

Alas, for me the stress of Summer is over. I know how caddy that may sound, but it is true... For me. The house sold... Closing completed... Moving taken place... And our new "digs"... BEAUTIFUL!

The kids and wife have adapted very nicely. I admit that I was worried that there would be weeping and gnashing as we moved, but my fears were in vain. The kids could not be more happy. The wife could not be more complacent. And I, well I could not be more content with the outcome.

I am typing on a "high-speed" connection right now. I must admit... DIAL-UP SUCKED!!!

I listen to Pandora as I type. It highly recommend it.

My first full day back at work was productive and delightful. I find myself fearing that I will enjoy my work too much. I admit, that I tend to get a lot of positive feedback at work. At home, it tends to be rarer, but more qualitatively satisfying.

The poor approval ratings of "W" continue to fill me with pleasure. The despair of paying such high prices at the pump are abating now that my driving needs have been lessened by 3/4. I see the glimmer of hope, politically, as the race in Connecticut twists and turns.

Best wishes to you and yours,

HH

Great to hear (about the new digs), amigo. I know that's been bugging you for awhile. Can't wait to see it.

Yeah, it's nice to see Bush's ratings plummet, but, after the last election, I'm still not convinced he couldn't win reelection if he wanted to. How does that saying go: no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.
No one ever lost an election with that strategy either.

Give my love to the family. Looking forward to my next visit.

Yay! A post.

I'm glad the house sold and you've successfully moved. What a weight off your shoulders. And it sounds great for you to be at work... I'm jealous. I would love to love my job. :0)

Thanks for your commendation on my mental health day... although now I am out sick and my boss joked "that's what you get for taking a mental health day." He's a nice guy, so I'm going to assume it wasn't about guilt.

Here's a dumb question, but what's the HH? Does it have something to do with "happyexmo" (which I get, don't worry). Am I missing something as a result of my lack of a mormon heritage?

Shane,

Thanks Bro! I disagree with your assertion that Bush could be re-elected. Eventually, reality hits even the dumbest minds. With, barely, 33% approval, even that right-wing, xtian pandering, wingnut couldn't survive the bleeding (IMO). I can't wait to hit the "Owl" and just have a nice jaunt back home.

Lisa,
How delightful to hear from you! I have been reading your blog faithfully. BTW... HH = HappyHeretic. It's my online moniker. I know... hard to believe.
Mental health days are necessary and well deserved. Just ask Shane and Me (we know). Your boss sounds like a person who "gets it." Guilt... smuilt... I have never known a person who died saying, "geez... I wish I had spent just one more hour at work." The big picture is simple... balance work with "life" and you'll find peace.

Best Wishes to you both,

Trav

Happy heretic! That makes sense.

Totally cool that you've been reading my blog. Totally cool. :0)

Now, I'm off to go think of something interesting to write... L
